Fun with TA...

Not wanting to stick to my plan (due to catching my kids colds and loosing the temporary crown I have) I thought I would play some more with the TA now that I have it working.

One of the first things I did was run three cycles with the erg set to 100, 200 and 300 watts.

Here is what it looks like:

Here is how the data is gathered:

Dunno if it is really useful yet or not... but basically you can see that downforce is pretty much all that increases from tripling the wattage.

Still want to play with some Q-Rings....

More to come.

More diligent than ever before...

well, I have been... and the TM is coming along to reflect it..

and that chart takes me out to CX State Champs... am I going to be state champ?  Hell's no, not with the A and A+ fields combined this year... but I sure would like to be competitive.

And it wouldn't hurt my chances @ VOS to roll into Nov (!) with CTL hovering @ the 100 mark and power @ 310w (and w/kg of 3.75)

An excellent weekend...

after a crappy thrusday/friday of crashing (not physically, but I was cashed from a CTL of 66 and topping it off with MB)...

Sat was a great ride with the good Jess up to Snowbird for Octoberfest.  Now I remember why I don't ride LCC very often... because it is HARD!  Totally consistant non-stop climbing.

But the Octoberfest Black Beir was SO worth it...

Sunday Lori and I got out together for a nice husband/wife ride together with lunch at a new place along the way...

Always nice to get out together...

Cross is coming! (oh, and I am totally off the road bike through the end of CX season)

Prepping for Cyclocross

I have said it before, but cyclocross is about my favorite time of the year.

While I haven't raced much (3 whole TTs) this season, and I haven't really trained much either, I am getting excited about the possibility of CX season.

So here is what I have been doing to prepare (and as a corralary, prep for VOS):

CTL is breaking 60 after today's ride and rapidly headed for the 100 mark..

Focusing on two styles of workouts before the first CX race:

and:

can you guess which workout is which trace?

and

More to follow on TA and analysing the past...

Using a new posting tool...

Here's hoping that it works out ok...

BRB with more TA and PMC fun...
