First week...

Of racing (@ least for me).

RMR last saturday. First mass start race for me in almost 2 years. Someone from Bountiful went down right in front of me about ten minutes in. Right up against the wall. He was on the ground, back to me, slowly sliding towards the wall and closing the gap.

I sat there watching the gap close thinking "aw crap, two years off of road racing and 10mins back and I go down on my new slc-sl"...

But made the gap, kept it upright. Did a little teamwork through the race.

Found myself rolling off the front with no effort on 3 to go and sat out there for almost a lap.

Came back to the pack and let them finish it off (no need to tempt fate in the sprint).

Tomorrow is the first saltair tt. Still equipment testing. Will run the 808 ptap, shamal front, ibike, and kestrel. My zedtechs are on order, so we will see when they arrive...

And then to top it off is saturday is one of my favorite races - HOTN - partial dirt road race.

So after a long hiatus of racing BAM right back in it with 3 races in one week.

My plan for the rest of the season is almost no out of town racing. A races are the sat/sun races I feel I could do well at, trying to do all the saltairs and every other DMV (one in-week race a week is a lot for me).

The macbookpro should be here next week or so - so data files posted then...

:)
